Testicular Cancer is a comparatively a rare form of and occurs in men between the ages of 20 and 34. It is more common in white men than black or Asian men. Some patients with testicular cancer have no symptoms at all, especially in the early stage. Most testicular cancer cases are found by men themselves when doing self-examination or by accident.

The testicles are smooth, oval-shaped, and rather firm. Men who examine themselves routinely become familiar with the way their testicles normally feel. Some of signs to look out for are: a painless lump or mass in the testicle, enlargement or swelling of a testicle, a sensation of heaviness in the scrotum or lower abdominal aching, collection of fluid in the scrotum ,discomfort or pain in a testicle or in the scrotum, enlargement or tenderness of the breasts. There are three stages of testicular cancer.

In Stage 1 the Cancer confined to the testicle, in stage 2 it spreads to retroperitoneal lymph nodes, located in the rear of the body below the diaphragm. In Stage 3 the Cancer spread beyond the lymph nodes to remote sites in the body. You may be a higher risk of testicular cancer if you have an undescended testicle, abnormal development of the testicles, and family history of testicular cancer, have Klinefelter’s syndrome or are a white male.
